Taman Jubli Emas

Taman Jubli Emas, also called the Golden Jubilee Park, is a public park in Alor Setar, Kedah. It was built to commemorate the golden jubilee, or 50th anniversary, of the reign of the late Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah, the 27th Sultan of Kedah. His Royal Highness officiated the opening of the park on 9 September, 2008. The centrepiece of Taman Jubli Emas is a monument comprising a Malay regal headgear, called tengkolok surrounded by five Malay daggers, called keris. It symbolises the 50-year reign of the ruler.
